Getaway recently visited Laser Skirmish Brisbane/Gold
Coast.

Ben Dark, together with the Channel 9
Network TV crew from Getaway flew into see Laser Skirmish in
action recently. Kitted up in war paint and cammo gear Ben headed
for the hills to shoot a few rounds. Nestled in the foothills of
Mount Tamborine, Laser Skirmish is played out of Thunderbird Park.
The Laser Skirmish Guns are high
powered custom
weapons
(60 to 150+ metres range depending on the weapon and
conditions, our guns are configurable to semi-automatic, fully-automatic
and have lots more features). Games are played in teams or "clans". Players shoot an invisible and harmless infrared beam,
similar to the ones used in your TV-remote control. Your sensor
helmet detects when you have been
hit. It's entirely safe.
A great feature
of laser tag is that the missions are constantly changing. We play
missions such as Capture-the-Flag, Search & Destroy,
VIP Escort, Sniper and Special Forces operations.
